PDRN for General Chronic Wounds

General Chronic Wounds (Systematic Reviews)

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses gather all available data to draw a broad conclusion.

  • Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis (2025) A very recent analysis confirmed PDRN’s broad potential.

    • Finding: After analyzing numerous in vitro (lab) and in vivo (living) studies, the authors concluded that PDRN demonstrates “significant therapeutic potential” for wound healing.

    • Mechanism: The review confirmed that PDRN works by promoting cell proliferation and migration and that in vivo models (like those for diabetic wounds) showed accelerated wound closure, better skin formation (epithelialization), and increased vascularization.

  • Systematic Review (2020) Another major review looked at 34 different studies (lab, animal, and human).

    • Finding: The authors stated that all the data they reviewed “proved the ability of PDRN in promoting a physiological tissue repair.” They concluded it has “promising results in terms of wound regeneration, healing time and absence of side effects.”

In summary, the scientific literature, from high-level clinical trials to comprehensive reviews, strongly supports the mechanisms discussed in the blog post. PDRN is shown to be an active and effective treatment, particularly for compromised wounds like diabetic ulcers, by reducing inflammation, boosting oxygen supply via new blood vessels (angiogenesis), and providing the “salvage pathway” for rapid cell repair.
